Job Description

PgCloud decouples PostgreSQL compute from multi-tier cloud object storage, enabling instant database branching for CI/CD pipelines. We are hiring a Senior PostgreSQL and Rust Backend Engineer to work on our page-server and proxy layer.

Engineering Challenges You will maintain our low-latency wire-protocol connection pooler written in Tokio Rust, optimize WAL redo page reconstruction, and implement scale-to-zero cold-start resumption in under 300 milliseconds on Kubernetes.

Who You Are Production systems programming experience in Rust or C alongside deep PostgreSQL internals knowledge. Familiarity with Postgres wire protocol, MVCC visibility rules, and buffer cache management. Comfortable collaborating across global time zones via RFC design documents.
