Job Description

VelvetCart Digital is engaging a Senior Contract Next.js and Edge Commerce Architect for a six-month renewable engagement to overhaul our multi-region headless storefront architecture ahead of peak holiday traffic.

Contract Scope You will migrate legacy client-side product catalogs to Next.js App Router with stale-while-revalidate CDN cache tags, unify GraphQL storefront queries to eliminate network waterfalls, and reduce Largest Contentful Paint under 1.2 seconds on mobile 4G connections.

Required Skills Deep expertise in Next.js, React, TypeScript, and GraphQL storefront APIs. Demonstrated success diagnosing LCP, CLS, and INP bottlenecks using Chrome DevTools and WebPageTest. Ability to deliver self-contained pull requests autonomously in an async contract workflow.
